If the takeoff/go-around switch is pressed while on the approach, the speed command system will agin shift into alpha mode for a go-around. the speed command system will cause the autopilot/flight director computers to react to a missed approach and a go-around. The autopilot engaged will pitch the nose of the airplane to provide for 1.25Vs minimum speed or 17.5ยบ climb, whichever produces the higher airspeed. The pilot must provide the throttle movement.
