The ice and rain protection system of the Lockheed L-1011 includes a wing anti-ice system. The panel above controls the anti-ice system for the left and right wing and is driven by bleed air from the #1 and #3 engine. The panel is located on the overhead panel of the L-1011 right above the first officer.

There are two DUCT FAIL indicators, one for the right wind and one for the left wing. The wing anti-ice system can either be operated automatically, or manually. The respective switches are present for each wing. The automatic system has an indicator that shows ON and OVHT (overheat). The manual setting has an ON indicator and an OPEN indicator that shows flow of heated bleed air to the wing cavities.

The TEST switch checks the operation of the wing anti-ice system.
