The Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) on the Lockheed L-1011 provides the aircraft with electrical power and bleed are when not connected to ground power or without the engines providing power or bleed air.

The four fault flags are tripped by relays and show the following fault conditions:

OVERSPEED N2 ... the second compressor stage of the APU has tripped the over-speed relay.
LOW PRESS OIL ... the system is operating with low oil pressure.
HIGH TEMP OIL ... the APU oil sensor has detected a high oil temperature.
OVER TEMP TGT ... The TGT (Total Gas Temperature) is too high.

The annunciator section of the APU Control panel has the following fault indicators:
DON'T LOAD ... Indicator that the APU is not ready to accept electrical load.
INLET FLOW ... The air inlet flow for the APU is low or obstructed.
LOW OIL QUANTITY ... indicates a low oil level for turbine lubrication.
BATTERY CONDITION ... the battery used to operate the APU starter motor is low.
DOOR IN TRANSIT ... the APU intake and exhaust doors are in transit to the open or closed position.
MAX MODE ... the maximum performance mode of the APU is active.
