Happy New Year to all of you who have been so faithfully following the L-1011 Project blog! 2014 will be the year of completing this great machine and making it available to you and the public. This project would not be possible without all the fantastic support I have received from you over the years and from the keen interest you have shown in what I have been trying to pull together here; I could not be any more grateful. But, for us to finish this project, I need your help!
The L-1011 Project is now five years in the making and what an amazing journey it has been so far. As you know, I am building this machine for two very simple reasons; one is to preserve and continue that awesome legacy of the Lockheed L-1011 and the other is to create a machine that can be enjoy by everybody with a passion for Aviation. Let me share with you a quote from Henry Ford that has kept me motivated for many years throughout my work on this wonderful project:

- An Audio Visual System for scenery projection.
- Additional Analog Integration Electronics for the instrumentation.
- Additional Digital Integration Electronics for the switch and light elements.
- A Cockpit Enclosure.
All in all, to close the project we will need to raise $21,400 in funding for the simulator in 2014. I need your help to reach this goal. Here are two options how you can help right away:

- Contact the National Museum of Commercial Aviation via the "Contribute" page on the blog heading and make a donation to the museum that will be dedicated to the L-1011 project. Your contribution to the Museum will be tax deductible in the United States. Talk to Richard Grigg, the Museum Director, and he will make sure your donation will aid the L-1011 effort.
