The L-1011 cockpit has awesome windows. Circling approach visibility requirements are considered in determining the aft vision cutoff angle. The requirement for keeping the runway end in sight during a circling approach is met using a reasonable amount of head movement.The left hand pilot seat has a 232º field of vision and the left hand pilot seat has 237º of vision. The 5º field of view reduction for the pilot is caused by a reduction of visibility on the right hand side by the flight engineers panel.
