| L-1011 Trainer: Engine Oil Pressure Power-Up and BITE |
The engine oil pressure indicators on the Lockheed L-1011 are manufactured by Smiths Industries Ltd., and have a range of 0 to 100psi. The three indicators have a common test switch located on the panel between the No. 2 and No. 3 indicator position.
The Built In Test (BITE) dries the indicators to display roughly 22 to 24 psi.
Below is a short video showing the Engine Oil Pressure indicators and the BITE test. Unfortunately the Engine 2 Oil Pressure Indicator is damaged and we need to fix and/or replace it.
