Excitation power for the main generator is controlled by the Generator Field Relay (GFR).Permanent Magnet Generator (PMG) output passes through the GCU and is regulated to the proper values. As long as the GFR is closed, the main generator is putting out power.
The white flow bar above the generator KW meter on the Electrical System shows the the GFR is closed.
