Standby power is automatically activated with a loss of essential power but may also be controlled by the pilot any time it is deemed necessary.
Essential power is protected by an automatic switching system designed so that multiple losses must occur before essential power is lost.
The TriStar has an automatic load monitoring system that will shed certain non-essential electrical loads if an electrical overload is sensed.
Key features:
- Automatic Paralleling
- APU Generator Paralleling
- Pilot Controlled Standby Power
- Automatic Essential Power Switching
- Automatic Load Monitoring
The electrical system is controlled and monitored by the Flight Engineer from a panel located on the forward left hand side of his or her station. The panel is within view of the Captain and First Officer and within reach of the First Officer should the Flight Engineer be away from his or her seat.
nice post..It is very useful to know the interior working of a generator, especially if the products are electronics, then it is much more useful.
